Issue 14 of Paper Chained has just been released on our website, and posted to all subscribers in custody on our physical mailing list. This issue's cover art was given to us by Robert, a Native-American prisoner in the US.
Among other things, in this issue you can find an interview with Queensland prisoner and artist Ashley, our cover artist for the last issue, and an interview with Bobby Bostic, who was sentenced to 241 years in prison in Missouri as a child in 1995. Bobby has since been released due to a change in the law in 2021, and talks to us about his career as an author. And, of course, you can find a collection of fantastic art and writing contributions.
Read and download the issue for free from our homepage. As always, people are welcome to print and send it to people in custody themselves. Due to restrictions on what prisons allow in via mail, we deliberately print Paper Chained in loose-leaf format, and encourage others to do the same.
We're also pleased to let you know our first art exhibition, which is still on display until May 31, 2024 at Boom Gate Gallery, has been a great success. Don't miss your chance to see over 100 artworks the magazine has collected from 25 prisons in 8 different countries while the exhibition is still open. And if you'd like to hear more, Paper Chained Editor Damien Linnane was interviewed about both the magazine and the exhibition in last week's episode of ABC's The Art Show.
