Issue 21 of Paper Chained has just been released on our website, and posted to all subscribers in custody on our physical mailing list. Special thanks to this issue's front cover artist, Mohannad Al-Azzeh, who we interviewed back in issue 16. In this issue you'll find coverage of Paper Chained's third art exhibition, which featured artworks made by Mohannad.

In this issue you'll also find an interview with Tony Minahan, an artist who has painted murals in two prisons in New South Wales, and a history article on Rave, an prison magazine made for incarcerate girls at Winlaton Girls Home from 1976 until 1992. As you'll be able to read about in the new issue, thanks to Paper Chained many of these magazines have now been digitised and can now be read for free online.

We're also pleased to announce that our fourth art exhibition, which was the annual tour of the Paper Chained International show, was a great success. Special thanks to acting Lord Mayor of Newcastle Charlotte McCabe for coming to speak at the show, and for the great turnout and community support from everyone who attended. Unfortunately though you'll have to wait until Issue 22 of Paper Chained to read about that show, but we hope you enjoy reading issue 21 in the meantime.
